Obesity is probably one of the most harmful conditions. It is defined as a condition where excessive fat accumulates in the body leading to increased health risks such as heart attacks. Of the many medical conditions we face due to our stressful lifestyles.

Cause of obesity

A combination of excessive calorie consumption and a sedentary lifestyle are the primary causes of obesity; in some cases, increased food consumption can be attributed to genetic.

Diet: Consuming a high-calorie and low-fiber diet.

Sedentary lifestyle: Sedentary lifestyle plays an important role in obesity.

Socio-economic: People from higher socio-economic group are more prone to obesity.

Genetic: Obesity can be inherited from parent to child.

Endocrine factors: Certain hormonal imbalances can also cause conditions such as hypothyroidism, Cushing’s syndrome, etc.

Psychological factors: Some factors such as worry, anxiety, fear, feeling of loneliness and isolation can encourage a person to overeat.

Fluid retention: Excessive consumption of alcoholic drinks like tea, coffee, aerated drinks, soda, soft drinks leads to accumulation of fluid in body tissues and increase in weight.

  • Increased the thirst
  • Frequent urination
  • Extreme hunger
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Presence of ketones in urine
  • Tiredness
  • Irritability

Sarvangasana: Sarvangasana provides many other benefits from increasing your strength to improving digestion. But it is known to boost metabolism and balance thyroid levels.
